Each physical effort is associated with fatigue and a certain overload of the body. That is why it is so important to introduce the habit of supplementing the appropriate nutrients after training. Anabolic window - when to take post-workout supplements?

This is called an anabolic window, i.e. the time when the delivery of appropriate ingredients will bring the best results. Specialists emphasize that although we have up to 3 hours for this, it is worth using the first hour for this purpose.

  • immediately after training, it is worth eating a solid dose of carbohydrates, adapted to the length and intensity of exercise and daily energy requirements
  • about 20 minutes after exercise, when the insulin level in the body increases after taking carbohydrates, it is a good time to consume a protein supplement - this way we achieve more effective transport of amino acids to the muscles.
