Each training session and actually any intense effort, destroy the muscle fibres. Their reconstruction takes place during post-training regeneration. However, you can limit the negative processes taking place in the body during exercise thanks to an appropriate diet and supplementation. What workout supplements are the best for training?
Before we move on to identifying specific supplements, it is worth mentioning what they should be:
First of all, carbohydrates and amino acids. Carbohydrates may come as a surprise, but a conscious athlete perfectly understands their importance in the diet. All "carbo" preparations are intended to cover the body's increased demand for energy. Easily digestible sugars are the perfect way to replenish muscle glycogen loss.
As for amino acids, they are especially important to reduce the effects of catabolism, i.e. the process of muscle breakdown resulting from intense exercise. Branched-chain amino acids, or BCAAs, are the building blocks of our muscles - they facilitate regeneration and reduce pain after exercise.
Creatine has a positive effect on the development of muscles, and when taken during training, it reduces the acidification of the body.
During training, of course, you should not forget about electrolytes and isotonic drinks - hydration of the body and replenishment of electrolytes is especially important during frequent, intense training.
And after training don't forget to try post-workout recovery supplements.
